Campus Safety Initiative
The Campus Safety Initiative by Gender Mobile aims to institutionalize anti-sexual harassment policies in Nigerian tertiary institutions. By focusing on policy design, technology, and bystander intervention, the initiative will empower 1.5 million female students to report harassment and access survivor-centered justice by 2028. So far, 5,381 community members have been trained to address sexual harassment.
The initiative has gained endorsement by the Federal Ministry of Education, which has led to the policy model template being disseminated to 25 higher education institutions and launched in four others across Nigeria.
