Societal Thinking’s Journey
In 2016, a small team of builders, thinkers and network-weavers asked a question: What does it take to design for and enable change at societal scale, with speed, sustainably?
Drawing inspiration from innovations such as Unified Payments Interface (UPI) and GPS as well as natural ecosystems such as rainforests, this team travelled with 500+ solvers in 20+ countries to understand, by experimenting, how to design for impact at scale.
Through these Do-Think-Do cycles, Societal Thinking emerged as a systemic approach to think, prototype and induce societal change at scale, with speed and sustainably, so that exponential problems can be tackled by inducing exponential change.
Societal Thinking was incubated at EkStep Foundation and is now housed under the Centre for Exponential Change.
