Scaling Pathways to Economic Opportunity for Young Africans
Harambee Youth Employment Accelerator tackles youth unemployment in South Africa and Rwanda through a youth-centered, demand-led, and technology-enabled approach. Partnering with governments, businesses, and young people, Harambee is building pathways to shift 3 million South Africans from learning to earning by 2025. To date, 2.39 million young people have accessed improved work-seeking experiences, with over 60% being women.
Harambee has created 876,131 new income opportunities for youth in South Africa and is a core member of the country’s Presidency’s multi-year working group on youth employment.
