I’m sharing some news that’s close to my heart.
At the end of 2026, I’ll be stepping down from my day-to-day role as CEO of Co-Impact and transitioning to our Board of Directors, where I’ll remain actively involved as a champion for the organization and for the partners we’re so grateful to work alongside.
I’m really delighted that Awo Ablo, our President, will step into the CEO role in January 2027 to lead our wonderful team.
This transition has been in the works for some time, including over a year of close partnership between Awo and me since she joined us as President. I’ve loved working alongside her! She brings such depth of knowledge and experience, and leads with real care, integrity, and authenticity. And, as those of you who have seen us together will know, we have a lot of laughter along the way, too.
I’ve always believed that one of the most important decisions a founder can make is knowing when to make space for new leadership, and to do it at the right time. With Co-Impact in a position of real strength and momentum, and as we approach our 10-year anniversary, this feels like the right time. And with Awo’s leadership, alongside our Board and team, I feel so much excitement about this next chapter.
When I first began dreaming up the idea that became Co-Impact nearly 12 years ago, I don’t think I could have imagined all we would build and do together. What I’m feeling most of all right now is gratitude. For our exceptional team, for our Board, for our partners, and for all of our allies in this work.
It’s one of the great privileges of my life to do this work with all of you, and I look forward to continuing the journey together.
