She has over a decade of experience in strategy development, knowledge creation, and policy uptake, in roles at development nonprofits, management consulting firms, and research institutions based in South Asia and North America. Prior to Co-Impact, Devaki supported the development of market-led solutions to India’s female labour force participation challenge, prioritizing a systemic-gender lens to the retention and advancement of women workers in corporate India. She has extensive experience working with governments to enhance women’s economic empowerment through data-driven initiatives, and strengthening self-help groups. Devaki began her career as a researcher, which fortified her belief in the power of data and evidence-backed action to address systemic inequities, and achieve sustainable impact.
Devaki earned her MPA from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University, and a Master’s in International Relations from Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi. She completed her undergraduate studies at Lady Shri Ram College, University of Delhi. An avid sports watcher, with Arsenal and Formula 1 occupying most of her weekends, Devaki lives in Delhi surrounded by family, friends, and the best food!
