Associate Director, Philanthropic Collaboration

Fabian Suwanprateep

Fabian manages relationships with Co-Impact funding partners, working particularly with Co-Investors seeking to align support towards systems change initiatives.

Fabian has nearly 10 years of experience at the intersection of social impact, business and international development. Before Co-Impact, Fabian worked with Wider Sense, a Berlin-based philanthropy and CSR consultancy, where he advised and worked alongside large national and international corporate and philanthropic funders. He focused on strategy, partner sourcing and due diligence, primarily in the areas of education, health, and entrepreneurship in service of marginalized communities, including girls and women.

In his role with Wider Sense and together with the BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt, Bertelsmann Foundation, GIZ and Impact Hub Berlin, Fabian co-founded the Impact Investing Roundtable in 2014 in Berlin, which now has over 400 members. Fabian is also a member of the Responsible Leaders Network with the BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt.

His prior experience includes working with the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCP), where he managed a private sector development project across Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam. Other assignments brought Fabian to Madagascar with the UN World Food Programme and Ethiopia with TechnoServe and GIZ (German Agency for International Cooperation) and Germany with the Red Cross.

Fabian holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Administration from the University of Konstanz as well as a dual Master’s degree in Public Policy and International Affairs from the National University of Singapore and Columbia University. Born and raised by a German mother and Thai father in a small town near Frankfurt, Fabian enjoys Pad Thai noodles as much as German potatoes. He lives with his wife in Jersey City.
