Jedi Azania Bukachi

Azania works as a Manager for Philanthropic Collaboration at Co-Impact, where she fosters collaboration and supports fundraising and advocacy for gender equality and women’s leadership.

Azania has 14 years collective experience comprising project management, advisory, donor coordination and fundraising within the bilateral and philanthropic sectors. Passionate about leveraging global support for locally-owned solutions to some of the worlds biggest challenges, Azania has worked across her career with partner oriented approaches, and blends African and Global perspectives within her work. Prior to joining Co-Impact, Azania worked with the German Agency for Development Cooperation (GIZ) in Germany, supporting Continental, Regional and National institutions in Africa to enhance their agriculture and rural development agendas, with a strong focus on gender.

Azania holds a Master’s in Public Policy and International Political Economy from the Willy Brandt School of Public Policy in Germany, and a Bachelor’s in International Development from the University of Leeds in the UK.

A native of Kenya, she has called many places home including Botswana, Germany, Uganda, and the UK. Together with her daughter and husband, she currently resides in Kenya.
