Leticia Born

Leticia Born supports program partners on system change grants in Latin America. She also assists with Co-Impact’s sourcing and vetting of new grants.

She brings 14 years of experience in the communications and development sector. Prior to joining Co-Impact, Leticia was a Program Manager at Porticus, leading the grantmaking strategy and implementation of Education and Early Childhood programs in Peru and Brazil, focused on building bridges amongst civil society organizations around equity. She also supported the development of a nascent portfolio in Gender and Racial Equity and Democratic Governance in Brazil.

Leticia has a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and a Master’s in International Development Studies from the University of Amsterdam, which led her to conduct research in Jordan, concerning state-society dynamics to advance gender equality. She is an intersectional feminist, committed to supporting the much-needed equity lens in the development sector.

Leticia was born and raised in Brazil, has lived in Pittsburgh and Amsterdam, and is currently based in Sao Paulo. When not working, Leticia puts her writer hat on and delves into non-fiction writing.
