Luciana Bonifacio is Vice-President, Philanthropy and Communications at Co-Impact.

Luciana is a social impact leader with more than 25 years of experience in the philanthropic sector, recognized for building collaborative partnerships that align donor purpose with community outcomes.

She has established a reputation as a connector and “people person,” leading with authenticity and empathy to understand motivations and translate vision into possibility. Her commitment to purposeful collaboration has shaped peer networks across leading international nonprofits and informed sector-wide innovation. She served on the management committee of the Global Emergency Response Coalition, piloting new fundraising approaches to humanitarian crises, and chaired Save the Children’s Global Corporate Partnerships Group before co-chairing its Partnerships & Philanthropy Leadership Group—helping federated members adopt unified practices and shared standards.

As a member of Save the Children’s Senior Leadership Team, Luciana led the Development Committee and the Nominations & Governance Committee of the Board, advancing diversity and engagement among Trustees. She also established the Board Alumni Network, ensuring former Trustees remained connected well beyond their terms.

During her 25-year tenure, she was instrumental in forging ambitious partnerships with Fortune 500 corporations—including Johnson & Johnson, Scholastic, and Procter & Gamble—resulting in tens of thousands of midwives trained, newborn lives saved, children inspired to read, and girls empowered to stay in school. As Chief Development Officer, she guided the organization through a period of transformation and growth, expanding the scale and scope of private partnerships and deepening its women’s philanthropic network.

Luciana is frequently invited to share insights on philanthropy. She has lectured at Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, spoken at Harvard Business School, presented at sector conferences, and contributed to media outlets. She is a member of the Forbes Nonprofit Council and a Certified Philanthropic Advisor by both 21/64 and Daylight.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Buenos Aires and completed Harvard Business School’s Executive Education in Strategic Perspectives in Nonprofit Management.
