Her work includes finance vendor management, coordination of the relationship with accounting, bookkeeping and audit firms, forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting functions.

She brings over 20 years of finance, accounting and human resource experience; the last decade focused solely in the non-profit sector. Before joining Co-Impact, Maria worked in a consultancy capacity to several small, start-up nonprofit organizations throughout Fairfield County, CT. As a consultant she assisted in the establishment of internal finance and operations policies and procedures; procurement and implementation of appropriate accounting and CRM systems; provided day-to-day accounting functions, financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting; acted as the point person for annual audits and 990 tax return preparation; and offered human resource support. In prior years, Maria worked as Human Resource Director for Ferring Pharmaceuticals and in various accounting roles in the bartering and public relations industries.

Her passion for nonprofit work has included serving on the Board of Directors for Circle of Care for families of children with cancer, serving as the Board Secretary and Grants Chair. She holds a BS in Accounting from Ithaca College and an MBA from Pace University. Maria lives in Connecticut with her husband, two college-aged daughters and their rescue dog, Kora. In her free time, Maria loves to travel and explore new cultures and experiences.
