Feeding the Future of Africa
Food4Education (F4E) is creating the blueprint for school feeding in Africa. They aim to establish a robust national system for school meals in Kenya, ensuring that all 10 million primary school children receive a daily hot, affordable nutritious school meal. F4E is influencing the government to establish national and county-level policies on school feeding, operational partnerships for delivery, meal guidelines, and increased funding, and is scaling its model to demonstrate the impact on educational and nutritional outcomes.
Their solution is already feeding nearly 600,000 children, leading to improved diets, school attendance, and test scores, thus addressing hunger as a barrier to learning.
