Grupo de Información en Reproducción Elegida, A.C. (GIRE)

GIRE’s goal is to ensure broad and equitable access to abortion and to strengthen feminist movements throughout Mexico. In partnership with the Center for Reproductive Rights (CRR), GIRE is shifting the narrative around abortion, advocating for it as a fundamental right and key to gender equality and justice.

An estimated 300,000 women and girls will benefit from this work each year. In 2023, GIRE contributed to a pivotal litigation case in Mexico that legalized abortion nationwide, unlocking access to quality abortion services for all Mexican women.
