The Astraea Lesbian Foundation for Justice

Astraea Lesbian Foundation for Justice supports grassroots feminist LGBTQI+-led organizations across Africa, Latin America, and Asia to advance their human rights and social justice agendas. With an intersectional feminist approach, Astraea supports organizations through grantmaking, capacity strengthening, and leadership development, as well as through their research and philanthropic advocacy.

The initiative is helping to increase financial and technical resources for feminist LGBTQI+-led organizations across South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, Brazil, Mexico, India, and Indonesia.
