Domestic Workers Rights – Economic and Social Empowerment in Brazil

Domestic workers are one of the most vulnerable groups in Brazil, with only a third having employment contracts. Through this initiative, THEMIS aims to increase paid domestic workers rights and improve their economic opportunities in Brazil. The program seeks to address the devaluing of domestic work and highlight its crucial role in the country’s economic development. THEMIS’s work aims to create pathways for women to access justice and strengthen citizenship, addressing racial, socioeconomic, and cultural inequalities.
